Production: Speech therapy- electronic means- give them time to communicate- allow them to be silent unless it is necessary to speak- ask them personally in private if they are comfortable speaking in class
Hearing Loss: Augmentative communication device- hearing aid- learn classroom patterns- one to one presentations- face the students (not the board)- take notes to learn- interpreter-amplification(microphone)- appropriate lighting when presenting lesson- do not cover mouth- typed notes- give assignments in written form- repeat classmates comments |
