Have a clear routine (picture schedule for younger kids)- provide notice for any change in schedule- provide a summary of lesson, then present the lesson, then give another summary of lesson- provide quiet zone for over stimulation- attempt to notice triggers- concise and literal directions- establish expectations and consequences for homework- break assignments into smaller pieces- incorporate pictures in lessons- minimize wall work to reduce stimulation- avoid idioms- incorporate special interests in lesson- use oral testing- reduce homework assignments- be aware of sounds in classroom/outside of classroom
